An update (with plenty of food and drink) from tutor Tristan
Of course, the archaeology was wonderful, and it included a potential new layer of bricks being revealed in the eastern extension.
Nothing, however, could possibly surpass today's Posh Lunch Thursday . . . in fact, I think a few people mistook us for the garden party at Buckingham Palace. It was lovely to welcome new and returning faces including ‘Pinz’ Liz and ‘Awesome’ Dan. We even forgave Dan for almost single-handedly demolishing the box of party rings!
After work it was all hands to the Trip, where Tristan had promised the stalwart trainees of the eastern extension, known as Team Wicked-Awesome, a pint of the finest ale. Sadly, however, they had already bought a round before he arrived, Tristan having been unavoidably detained (honest!).
We were delighted to be joined at the Trip by Castle tour guide Richard. Laura presented him with a small gift to say thank you for giving our trainees such fantastic experiences and memories – what a gent he is.
